Superior asset recoveries powered by cutting edge technology
Through our IT Asset Recovery and Recycling (ITARR) service, Akooba offers unique asset recovery solutions for Electronic Recyclers. Of the unique volume of retired IT assets received by electronic recyclers, a large portion could still have value if restored and relocated.
Akooba, Inc. works with electronic recyclers to restore IT assets to OEM standards and then find them a home through our wholesale and B2C channels. Akooba employs a multi-channel sales approach that utilizes consumer e-commerce platforms and wholesale networks.
To generate top-level asset recovery, we are a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher, able to add Windows operating systems to IT units that we then remarket and resell. As a result of working through Akooba’s ITARR program, electronic recyclers can see a significant return on investment through a competitive split on revenue for all IT assets that are resold.
Akooba's refurbishment program is powered by our unique technologies that are developed in house. One such technology is our Akooba asset tracker instituted within our facilities to track IT assets as they are moved through the refurbishment process. Included in the asset tracking software is a data risk identifier, which identifies all media-storing devices inside of an IT asset.
Akooba offers data destruction services that can be performed on-site or in a secure, AAA NAID-certified facility located in Annapolis, Maryland. Additional high-end data destruction services include forensic grade data erasure/wiping, pulverizing, and degaussing. We also offer a unique solution called VisiShred, which documents and captures HD videos of IT assets as they are destroyed.
Electronic Recyclers who take advantage of our ITARR services will also be considered as part of our Akooba Global e-Waste Management (GEM) program. The Akooba GEM program offers a wide range of IT Asset Management, Data Destruction, and Electronic Recycling services worldwide through a selective partnership of top class organizations. As a member of the GEM program, service providers are introduced to new clientele and are able to offer additional services through regional partners. By leveraging our wholesale pricing and e-waste value knowledge, we support partners within the network by allowing them to offer higher returns to existing and new customers.
